25-year-old Australian Lizzie Stannard will debut in Israel – Premier Tech Roland colors at Amstel Gold Race on Sunday, having signed with the team in a mid-season deal.
Stannard is excited to hit the reset button and join her new teammates after a tough start to 2023.
“I am immensely grateful to Israel – Premier Tech Roland for giving me this chance after these rocky last few months, and I cannot wait to get the rest of the season underway already. Third time lucky it seems!,” says Stannard.

Having started her season on home soil, Stannard now has her eye on the upcoming European stage races where she will look to build more experience.
“I am excited to build on my experiences from last year, and in particular I look to race well in the stage races coming up a little later on in the season.”
Stannard becomes IPTR’s 14th rider and will add climbing strength to the roster, explains General Manager Ruben Contreras.
“We are excited to have Lizzie join the team and we look forward to welcoming her. Lizzie will already hit the ground running this weekend and we are sure she will be a great fit. She climbs well and will be a key support rider for our leaders, as well as getting her own opportunities throughout the season. At just 25-years-old, Lizzie has a long career ahead of her and this is just the start of her next chapter. Welcome, Lizzie,” says Contreras.
